IGCSE Computer Science is a popular choice across Dubai's international schools. Cambridge CAIE IGCSE (0478) and Edexcel International GCSE both assess computer systems theory alongside algorithm design, pseudocode and programming. Our specialist tutors help students master Python, Boolean logic, databases and trace tables — and learn to write precise exam answers that earn full marks.
IGCSE Computer Science is assessed through papers on computer systems and on algorithms, programming and logic. Students are expected to write and trace pseudocode and programs, complete logic and database tasks, and explain concepts such as data transmission, encryption and the fetch-decode-execute cycle. We teach every topic from first principles, then drill the exact command words and question styles used by the examiners.
Students in Year 10 and Year 11 taking IGCSE Computer Science, from complete beginners in Python to confident coders who want to secure the top grades.
Computer Science develops logical thinking and problem-solving that carry well beyond the exam.
Computer systems theory, algorithms, Python programming and exam technique — taught in small groups by specialist Computer Science tutors.
Both qualifications are assessed by terminal written examinations. We train students on the exact question styles, command words and mark schemes used by each board, using real past papers.
Paper titles, durations and weightings can change between exam series. We confirm your child's board and specification at the initial assessment and tailor the course to it.
Not sure which board your child is on? We'll check at your free Diagnostic Test.
Computer Science is learned by doing. Every lesson includes live coding or tracing tasks in Python, so students build the fluency they need for the programming questions — not just the theory.
Binary, networking and the CPU can feel abstract. We use diagrams, worked examples and quick retrieval quizzes so definitions stick and can be written precisely in the exam.
With a maximum of six students per group, your child's code and written answers are reviewed individually — so errors are fixed the same session, not weeks later.

We support Cambridge CAIE IGCSE Computer Science (0478) and Edexcel International GCSE Computer Science. We will confirm your child's board at the initial assessment.
No. We start from your child's current level. Students who are new to Python build up from the basics, while confident coders move quickly on to exam-style problems and trace tables.
Python is the most widely used language for GCSE and IGCSE Computer Science, and it is what we teach in most sessions. We also train students to write and read exam-style pseudocode.
Yes. Our groups have a maximum of six students, so every student receives individual feedback on their code and written answers.
Year 11: September is ideal. Year 10: starting early gives students time to build programming fluency before the exam years. Two sessions per week are recommended to close gaps; one session to consolidate.
